James D. Jenks, M.D.

Dr. James Jenks attended Northwestern University Medical School and went on to complete his OB/GYN residency at Northwestern’s Prentice Women’s Hospital. While in residency, he was recognized for clinical excellence and for providing compassionate care, being awarded the Chicago Maternity Center and Northwestern Memorial Hospital’s Outstanding Resident Award. He was also appointed chief administrative resident. Having joined TRE Medical over 30 years ago, in 1983, he has, in recent years, had the unique privilege of delivering babies to many of the babies he had, himself, delivered. Dr. Jenks has been listed every year for over a decade in Castle Connolly’s Chicago’s Top Doctors. He has served in numerous medical staff leadership posts at Good Samaritan Hospital, including Chairman of the Credentials Committee, member of the Medical Staff Executive Committee and Vice Chairman of the department of OB/GYN.

His clinical interests include all aspects of general obstetrics and gynecology, in particular obstetric ultrasound, peri-menopause and menopause as well as preventive care that encompasses encouraging a healthy lifestyle.
